The Face Series: Part 1 / "Predicted"

The trigger that set so many people looking for possible ruins on Mars was the discovery by the Viking spacecraft in 1976 of the Face at Cydonia. The latest Image of the Day is the first in a series that explores this enigmatic, mile long, Martian feature. It seems appropriate to begin with the front page of The Face on Mars comic story by the legendary Jack Kirby. Published in 1958 this graphic story spookily predates the discovery of the Face at Cydonia by 18 years. For more information click this "stargate" µµµ
