“Fossil Artefacts & Bones” / Spirit & Opportunity Rovers / Gusev Crater & Meridiani Plain / Mars

In yesterday’s “Image of the Day” possible fossil bones imaged by Curiosity Rover in Gale Crater were displayed. Today’s poster displays some possible fossil bones or highly corroded artefacts imaged by her sister rovers Spirit and Opportunity. The Spirit mission, in particular, came across very many anomalous objects. The analysis of a skull-like object found in a Spirit image (at the end of this image poster) is the work of George J. Haas of the Cydonia Institute website. Spirit Rover also seems to have encountered Martian mud when initially landing, see "stargate" µµµ
